The new Missoni Collection blossoms like a rose, the quintessential flower and symbol of love, strong in its colors and fragrance, full of meaning and emotional involvement. The roots of this creative process can be found in the Missoni archive, with a luxuriant pattern that celebrates a flowering of roses, now elevated to the decorative frieze of the new garments dedicated to Fall/Winter 2023. At the center of everything is the woman who in multiplicity knows how to be unique, which preserves within herself the fascinating dualism of strength and delicacy, and which transforms fragility and imperfection into virtue.
The Collection
The body is marked and elongated by the silhouettes. The bold volumes envelop it in masculine-inspired tailoring. The game of proportions is constant with a harmonious conjunction and alternation between micro and macro in the garments and designs. The textures are designed for total visual and tactile involvement, with the three-dimensionality of the material revealed in multiple forms. The knitwear is woven into fur, the faux fur is also presented in an astrakhan version while the velvet is an intense and bewitching mantle. Patterns and knits celebrate the stylistic essence of the brand: space dyed, zig zags and then a riot of roses that become wild when merged with animalier spots.
The Atmosphere
The rose scent in honor of Rosita Missoni pervades the environment and is part of a process that involves the viewer on a sensorial level with sight, hearing and smell. The show thus brings to mind youth and tender encounters, through a scenario illuminated by intense light, with drapes and sinuosities that outline a timeless place while the succession of moving creations and the words “Do you remember the first kiss? ” revive a romantic memory.
